ATS Announces Strategic Acquisition to Strengthen Local Market Presence

July 11, 2024 - Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario - Algoma Technology Services Inc. (ATS, formerly known as Algoma Telephone Systems Inc.) Northern Ontario’s most comprehensive technology company providing managed IT services, technology consulting, access control, CCTV, telecom, and alarms, has acquired Unique Data Systems (UDS, an N1 Solutions Company), Sault Ste. Marie’s longest standing technology solutions company. The official announcement was made at ATS headquarters early July 11th.

The combination of these two local organizations greatly fosters the local technology economic and talent eco-system, positioning it to better serve local clients and compete in the global marketplace.

The acquisition provides UDS customers with greater access to a wide array of professional, high-quality products and services including managed IT services (containing cyber security and helpdesk) through to CCTV, telecom, access control and alarms. ATS clients will benefit with localized IT expertise.

In addition to fully integrated technology solutions, clients will benefit from technology leadership experience in health care, banking, transportation and non-profit organizations, along with globally certified resources in project and change management.

The transition of UDS to ATS is expected to be completed by August 31, 2024.
